We place great importance on a comprehensive range of activities as core to Resident wellbeing and life at Marymount. Our activity programme is centered on the social, cognitive, physical, emotional, spiritual, creative needs of each resident.

"Our activities program in Marymount is developed from listening to our residents and providing them with choices.

The activity team are aware that some people prefer more intimate groups, such as our award-winning knitting circle and the poetry group. Others enjoy the lively range of musicians.

Our outings are just as varied with trips to Aras an Uachtaran, Croke Park and the National Concert Hall to name but a few…”

Our team of activity coordinators ensure that our activity programme reflects and respects both individualism and the benefits of social participation.

We have a full-time on-site physiotherapist who works closely with our Care Team whose aim is to encourage and facilitate the full potential mobility to all our Residents.

Our Siel Blu programme is an activity-based programme which is held twice a week. These are enjoyed by our Residents which clearly benefits the overall physical abilities of all.

Our Sonas programme is a sensory activity which focuses on the enjoyment for those with cognitive impairment. Uses our senses such as smell, touch and older memories to reminisce on.
